3-2-1 Penguins!: Parody of Star Trek: The Original Series or a parody of the Star Trek franchise?

Relating back to the poll concerning whether or not you consider 3-2-1 Penguins! to be a parody of Star Trek, this expands a little on that.

While I think that the series mainly parodies Star Trek: The Original Series, there is a little bit of Next Generation with the look of the ship, the jumpsuits...to be honest (it might be a stretch, but) you could say that Uncle Blobb is the 3-2-1 Penguins version of the Borg.

Yup, Zidgel did say Picard's catchphrase "Make it so!"

Yeah, I think it's a bit of a stretch. I didn't get the sense that there was a hive mind involved. If there were a 3-2-1 Penguins! version of the Borg, they would have mostly likely been an insectoid species hellbent on enslaving entire civilizations.

Though the seeds were all connected to the microphone. The seeds also caused planets to be dominated in the past (okay, evacuated, but it still became Blobb's). It it still far-fetched, but I hope you see where I am coming from.

Hmmm, that is food for thought.
